We believe the Bible is the complete, fully reliable
and trustworthy Word of God. All truth
is centered in the Word of God; therefore, everything that is taught at
Quakertown Christian School is taught in relationship to the Holy Scripture,
the final authority, and adheres to our Statement of Faith. Jesus refers to Himself as the Truth in John
14:6. Again in John 17:17 Jesus makes
reference to truth when He says, “Your Word is Truth.” If we are to make the
knowledge we teach our students relevant, it must be taught in the light of
God’s enduring Word.
We believe that the claims of Christ founded in the
truth of Scripture call for a personal faith response from each
individual. As a unique creation of God
– created in His image – each person has a unique purpose. We are created to bring glory to God. But as man has fallen from this purpose, so
man must return again. Jesus Christ is
the way of return to bring glory to God.
The family, the church and the school must have as their primary purpose
to help each individual realize this need and follow through in a life of
fellowship with God and service to man.
We believe that it is important for students to make a connection between faith, the instructional program, and practical life situations. We thus provide the students with opportunities to live out their faith in the community by sharing with the elderly, with those who have fewer advantages, with the disabled, and with others of different ethnic backgrounds. Hands-on experiences are also provided both in the classroom and outside the classroom so that the students may relate their studies to real life. These experiences are also used to stimulate students’ interest in and curiosity about the world in which they live.
We believe that God created each person as an
individual with his or her own unique style of learning. Since there are numerous ways in which
children learn, Quakertown Christian School provides its students with a wide
variety of learning experiences that involve different modalities and means for
each student to move at a pace in his or her studies, which is appropriate to
those learning styles and capabilities.
Since Scripture indicates that all people, including
children, have a sin nature, we believe that discipline is a vital part of a
child’s education. At Quakertown
Christian School the Scriptural pattern for discipline is an important part of
the task of educating children. Love and
longsuffering as well as firmness form the basis for discipline at QCS.
The school is to complement the home and the
church. As the school and the family are
both a part of the
